IGN Movies reports Craig has heard of these rumors, and is very much against the idea of committing himself to the character for such an extended period of time.
I never said that...well, that's what's been said, it's not that it's not true, because I haven't signed up. What I've done is I've signed up on the next movie [Bond 22], after that we'll see. That's the way I'm doing it, and certainly it's not four more -- that's the truth. It's certainly not four more.
In talking with Craig, it was also revealed that the next Bond film will be taking place in such scenic locations as "Central America, Italy, maybe Australia." The film, tentatively titled BOND 22, is due for release late next year.
