MGM has confirmed that Darren Aronofsky (REQUIEM FOR A DREAM) will direct the new ROBOCOP flick with David Self (ROAD TO PERDITION) writing. It's unclear where this falls in the film's chronology but according to the press release it takes place "20 years after the termination of the RoboCop program" when the city decides to revive it.
