HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE Promises Loads of Laughter

December 16th, 2007 | Return Home
MTV Movies is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe has promised that the next Harry Potter flick will be the funniest one yet.

That's because, as director David Yates points out, it's the "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" of the Potter books, with massive making-out sessions to occur for several characters — Ron and Lavender, Harry and Ginny — as they come of age. "It's the 'American Graffiti' for this set," Yates said. "I'm looking forward to developing the relationship between Ron and Hermione, and Ron and Lavender. There's a nice triangle there."

This is a bit strange considering that it was, in fact, one of the darkest books in the series. Sure, there is the teenage angst and some romance, but the death and rage that is throughout the book kind of offsets that. We'll keep you updated on where this romantic comedy is headed.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE is due out on November 21, 2008.
