 ComingSoon.net is reporting that HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE has been pushed back to July 17, 2009. It was originally slated for November 21, 2008. Warner Bros' Alan Horn says that it is due to "repercussions of the writers' strike."

 The Tom Cruise/Bryan Singer (USUAL SUSPECTS) Nazi thriller, VALKYRIE, has been bumped up to December 26. Originally set for October this year, then pushed to February, is now being put back on track for this year.
VALKYRIE will, once again, be out December 26, 2008.

 IDW Publishing, the company behind the new Bay-centric Transformers comic, let slip some details of the upcoming sequel. The series, designed to bridge the gap between the first and second movies, will also flesh out a bit more of the universe.
[We're going to] explore the background of The Fallen — the main villain of the movie — as well as expand on the ‘Reign of Starscream’ story that we’re doing and tie everything in to what this next movie is going to be,” explained writer Chris Mowry, who partners on the book with artist Alex Milne. “The next movie starts out with just tons of action and there’s obviously going to be a lot of questions, so we’re hoping to answer some of those beforehand.

 Columbia Pictures has confirmed that Jack White of the White Stripes and Alicia Keys will be jointly performing the theme for the next Bond movie, QUANTUM OF SOLACE. Titled "Another Way to Die," it'll be the first duet in Bond history.
QUANTUM OF SOLACE opens November 7. The soundtrack drops October 28.
