The Coen Brothers' latest has gotten two more posters. Still very retro and different. Starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and a ton of others, the black comedy opens September 12.

 When you take a weekend off and are busy with other projects, you tend to get a bit behind. Apologizes all around. Here's what you missed.
- Not everyone loves THE DARK KNIGHT. We've gotten our first negative review from New York Magazine.
- SCHOOL OF ROCK 2: AMERICA ROCKS is indeed coming according to Variety. Mike White is scripting with Richard Linklater returning to direct.
- Gird your loins. A trailer HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR has popped up online. It opens October 24.
- John Woo's Chinese epic, RED CLIFF, has grabbed an impressive $23 million in Asia.
- CC2K gives us a peak at Paul W.S. Anderson's script for his CASTLEVANIA adaptation. They're not too thrilled, to say the least.
- Could Batman exist in real life? Scientific American ponders this over.

 Deadline Hollywood is reporting that director Jon Favreau is indeed a lock for IRON MAN 2. Although not confirmed yet, Nikki Finke says --
It's not officially announced yet, but I'm told that Marvel Studios and Iron Man director Jon Favreau have reached a deal for him to helm the sequel, due out in 2010.

 Robert Downey Jr. has been cast in Guy Ritchie's (SNATCH, the upcoming ROCKNROLLA) SHERLOCK HOLMES. Anthony Peckham has scripted the new adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic British stories.
